This Contract Notice formally commences the procurement process for an anticipated Suburban Fleet (as described below), comprising Electrical Multiple Units (EMU) and Battery Electrical Multiple Units (BEMU), along with associated supplies services for ScotRail Trains Limited (ScotRail).
ScotRail shall select Applicants to be invited to negotiate in accordance with the selection criteria in [II.2.5] below and further detailed in the Pre-Qualification Pack (‘PQQ’).
The ‘Contracts’ (a Manufacture and Supply Agreement ('MSA')’ and a Technical Support and Spares Supply Agreement ‘TSSSA’)) anticipated to be awarded pursuant to this procurement process will be awarded according to the criteria specified in the forthcoming Invitation to Negotiate (ITN).
The anticipated supply under the MSA is for a minimum of 69 trains, with a potential option for additional orders of up to approximately 37 trains.
In addition to the MSA, ScotRail intends to procure a Technical Support and Spares Supply Agreement (TSSSA) with an anticipated duration of a minimum of 15 years, up to a maximum of 35 years, which is designed to support the Suburban Fleet post-delivery.
