Following a tender exercise the London Borough of Hackney has awarded a contract to Barnardo's to deliver a Solihull Parenting Approach Service that will, map, coordinate and expand on the number of universal Solihull Approach parenting group interventions in various locations across Hackney, deliver Solihull Approach professional courses, and increase the take-up of free on-line Solihull Approach courses (Online Courses | Hackney) by parents/carers and professionals.
The aim of the Service is to work with families with children aged 2 years and under, and with professionals to improve the quality of parent-infant relationships in Hackney so that babies and toddlers can feel safe and secure, and ensure they have the key competencies that will help them to thrive.
The contract is for 18 months with an provision to extend for a further 6 months at the Council's discretion.
The contract value is for a sum if £280,902.83 for the 13 month contract duration, and £398,315.00 in total if the extension option for £117,417.11 is utilised.
