The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for the supply and installation of a 40m3/day packaged RBC sewage treatment plant and associated drainage works at Begdgebury Pinetum, Kent.
Works include: Manufacture, delivery and installation of a packaged RBC treatment plant capable of meeting a consent of 30/20/20 and a 4m3 grease trap.
Construction of gravity sewers, inspection chambers and cable ducts.
Decommissioning of the existing SAF treatment plant The RBC packaged treatment plant shall be designed to produce a 30/20/ 20 final effluent for the varying flow rates given in the treatment plant specification.
The plant will require the recirculation of final effluent to deal with the variation in flow rate.
Please note that the treatment plant will receive waste from a toilet block and a café so the strength of the effluent far exceeds that of normal domestic sewage.
The treatment plant shall be provided complete with all required ancillaries including controls, control kiosk telemetry and all other items included in the Specification.
A 4000 litre grease trap shall be supplied and installed in accordance with the specification.
The Associated Works include the supply of all materials and construction of PCC manholes, 150mm diameter twin-wall polyethylene sewers, sample chamber, outfall, access road, electrical and communications ducting.
The existing sewage treatment plant shall be decommissioned towards the end of the contract.
