The brief

ON BEHALF OF CHICHESTER DISTRICT COUNCIL: To provide a package of support for SME's to help them on their journey to 'net zero' giving access to the knowledge, tools and expertise which can help them to address the requirement to adjust to current and future climate related business pressures and run their businesses more sustainably.

The programme to include in person workshops, on-line seminars and ,where appropriate ,ongoing support tailored to meet the needs of our local business community.

A key element is to provide access to expertise which provides support throughout the various stages of the programme so businesses will feel encouraged through participation in the programme to take action to become more sustainable.

Participating in this programme must give businesses access to tools, knowledge and expertise which can help them to develop meaningful plans to adapt and respond to the impacts of climate change.

The programme should also offer credible and practical support towards achieving industry recognised standards for their business and those who are seeking external accreditation with sustainability e.g., Planet Mark, One Planet Living, FutureFit Business, Green Mark, B Corp, ISO 14001.

The programme is to provide this support to a minimum of 50 SMEs from across our District and to run for a 12-month period.
