The University of Salford is seeking to select a Contractor to undertake works to convert the Second Floor of the Cockcroft Building into a Translational Medicine Research Facility with different specialist uses.
The works comprises the strip out of the existing laboratories down to the existing shell and dividing the space into two accommodation zones, a wet zone comprising laboratories and a dry zone comprising office and break out areas.
The wet zone comprises of a general research laboratory for 24 researchers which is connected to three tissue culture laboratories, a dark room and built in cold room.
The dry zone consists of two large open plan offices for Academics (12 desks) and Post Graduate Room (24 desks) along with a breakout area.
