Truro Pontoons
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits below the typical range for Transport Equipment contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 15,368 valued Transport Equipment tenders in our corpus.
Cornwall Council requires the provision of 6 pontoons that are compatible with the connections on our existing pontoons in the Truro area during 2015.
We require 6 pontoons approx.
11.5 metres length by approx.
2.5 metres wide.
Each must have galvanised steel frames and floats to allow a 500 cm freeboard with additional floatation at each end to support mooring chains.
Decking must be sustainably sourced and FSC accredited, preferably hard wood.
The pontoons must be able to connect to our existing pontoon system - see Request for Quotation document for more details.
Any tender queries and subsequent answers will be posted on Contracts Finder so please ensure you check the site frequently.
If you would prefer us to send you a copy of the Q&A document for this contract every time it is updated please request this from Samantha Christine – schristine@cornwall.gov.uk.
If you would prefer a Word.doc version of this RFQ please contact the above.
NOTE 29/05/15: A Tender Q&A form (v1) has been added to the documents available to download.
This is a live document and will be updated every time any question is asked regarding the above mentioned Tender Opportunity.

What this notice demands of you
1 named in obligation language, 0 mentioned. Each one is quoted from the notice.
Decking must be sustainably sourced and FSC accredited, preferably hard wood.
Matched against the notice text, so this is a floor — the tender pack will demand things the notice never mentions. “Says must” means the quoted sentence itself used obligation language; anything ambiguous is left as a mention.
