The aim of the community infection prevention and control service is to support the implementation and maintenance of the infection prevention and control standards within primary health and social care providers.
The service provides support to these providers and the public by coordinating and offering support to undertake root cause analyses, training, expert advice, audit and response to outbreaks and incidents.
