This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits in the upper-middle of the Health & Social Care band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 32,734 valued Health & Social Care tenders in our corpus.
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to establish a contract with a Provider[s] for delivering a Specialist Stop Smoking Service, targeting three priority cohorts of people; Routine and Manual Workers, individuals with Mental Health Disorders and Secondary care, whilst ensuring a universal offer remains in place to support residents of Barnsley.
The value of the contract is anticipated to be £353,000 per year, however bidders should note that as part of the ongoing development of the QUIT programme in BHNFT/SWYFT, there may be opportunities for additional funding that could increase the capacity of the Barnsley Stop Smoking Service.
Although not confirmed, if additional funding is received, there would be a requirement to support additional referrals from secondary care and mental health.
There would be an expectation for the successful provider to have sufficient flexibility within their service delivery model, to manage the additional referrals and the requirements of QUIT, with possible extra resource of up to £150,000 per annum.
Regardless of whether the funding is made available to the successful provider to enhance the tendered provision, or whether any additional funding is retained there will be an expectation of the provider to work alongside key stakeholders in the implementation of any additional work programme.
