As such DUK are uniquely placed to: • Ensure the DPP meets the needs of people at risk of Type 2 diabetes • Lead on patient and public involvement – setting up and managing the patient reference group and managing and co-ordinating insight activity throughout development and roll-out.
DUK have agreed to act as follows: • Act as representatives on the Diabetes Prevention Programme Board • Act as a critical friend to the Programme. • Manage a Citizen Insight Panel of 18-25 people who will meet 4/5 times a year to translate citizen views into proposals for the programme as it develops. • Support stakeholder engagement and programme communication through their established mechanisms.
