1270/283/EML/M/15 Blown Powder Laser Deposition Machine The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for supply to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at Catcliffe in Rotherham.
Scope of Requirement: The supply, installation and commissioning of a blown powder laser deposition machine.
The machine will predominantly be used for Research and Development activity supporting industrial applications and is to be used to produce fully dense parts.
In addition to the fabrication of parts, it is also to be used to perform repairs to existing components.
Materials to be expected are those typical of current and future aerospace industry requirements e.g. titanium, nickel based superalloys and highly alloyed steels.
