The brief

Birmingham City Council invites organisations to make an application to be considered for inclusion on a select list of tenderers for: • Refurbishment works to the changing rooms and changing facilities room.

The intention is for the works to be completed and invoiced in full before end of 13th August 2017.

Brief Description of Works: Scope of Works Demolition/Alteration: • Demolish cubicles as shown on drawing (Drawing number 93484/A/001) • Pull down partition walls as shown on drawing (Drawing number 93484/A/001) Access Corridor: - Form metal stud partition to form lobby enclosure to provide entrance to the changing room area and access from the changing room to the swimming pool. • Removal of existing pair of doors to access corridor. • Removal of existing door and frame to existing female changing area. • Provide new door and frame. • Rehang existing pair of doors.

Existing Changing Places Facilities: • Carry out refurbishment works as shown on drawing (Drawing number 93484/A/002) Existing Group Changing Rooms (2No): • Ceiling: Replace suspended ceiling; Renew lighting to fit within new suspended ceiling. • Walls: Removal of mirrors, paper towel dispensers and other fittings on the walls to be refixed after redecoration to walls; Prepare and paint walls. • Doors: Redecorate door and door frame; Renew door handles and ironmongery.

Existing Male and Female Toilets: • Ceiling: • Replace suspended ceiling. • Renew lighting to fit within new suspended ceiling. • Walls: o Removal of mirrors, paper towel dispensers and other fittings on the walls to be refixed after redecoration to walls. o Prepare and paint walls. • Cubicles: o Replace LPS cubicles complete as shown on drawing (Drawing number 93484/A/005) • WC: o Renew WC complete as shown on drawing (Drawing number 93484/A/002) • Washbasins: o Renew washbasins as shown on drawing (Drawing number 93484/A/002) • Doors: o Redecorate door and door frame. o Renew door handles and ironmongery.

New Works Renewal of all cubicles to LPS (HPL) solid grade laminate partitions with doors fixed directly to finished floor as shown on drawing (Drawing number 93484/A/002 & 005) DDA Cubicles: • Accessible changing cubicles; Double changing cubicles; Single changing cubicles.

Wet Area: • New LPS (HPL) cubicle shower system; New DDA shower cubicle.

Shower Area: • New LPS (HPL) compact walled shower area; Robust vandal resistant fittings; Short projection shower head chrome finish; Chromium plated push shower valve with self-cleansing delayed action.

Lockers: • Provide for lockers as indicated on plan; Ceiling: • Ceiling; Replace suspended ceiling; Renew lighting to fit within new suspended ceiling.
