Wealden District Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake reactive and planned building maintenance works to property and land owned or managed by Wealden District Council within the boundaries of the District.
The contract is primarily for our Corporate Assets Department who are responsible for all Commercial land and buildings owned or managed by Wealden District Council.
The planned works element will be individual projects throughout the contract period with an individual value up to £50,000.
Responses to building work requests will be at various levels including out of hours and emergency works.
The contractor will also be expected to carry out works on the Council's general housing stock, retirement living courts and any other land and premises the Council own, manage, lease or have any interest in.
The works included are all (reactive) building maintenance works to the properties covering all building trades, including minor electrical and plumbing works that may be required to complete a task.
Where appropriate the Contractor will be expected to work or liaise with as necessary other contractors retained by ourselves especially our mechanical and electrical services contractors.
In addition the works shall include all minor planned building works up to £50,000.
