The brief

Scope of Requirement AMRC North West has a requirement for high payload industrial robots, end effectors and ancillary equipment to support manufacturing research activities on battery pack manufacturing.

These devices shall initially be located at AMRC North West interim facilities based at UCLAN Preston.

In March 2021 AMRC NW will move to purpose build facilities based at Samlesbury Enterprise Zone.

There is a requirement for the supplier to provide details of a complete package for installation and commissioning at both interim and new facilities.

Our interim facilities at UCLAN Preston, has some significant challenges: o Limited access for delivery and unloading. o Robot will be located on our shop floor, which is not at ground level. o The shop floor contains asbestos in the floor. o Limited structural point loading for the floor.

Any supplier wishing to submit a bid MUST undertake a full site visit at our interim facilities to ensure they can meet the requirements above, failure to complete a site visit may deem your bid non-compliant.
