The brief

Halton Housing Trust (HHT) are a not for profit housing association, who own and manage 6,800 homes in the Cheshire towns of Widnes and Runcorn.

HHT's vision is to 'deliver high quality and excellent services for all'.

Their mission is to 'provide high quality housing services with a social conscience'.

HHT sought bids from service providers to participate in waste management and recycling services primarily within the Borough of Halton, to support the work undertaken by the HHT maintenance team, Construction Services (CS).

The service required under this contract is for waste drop-off and recycling.

HHT vehicles will drop waste to the successful service providers waste disposal site, where a weigh-bridge service must be available.

The successful service provider will be required to segregate the waste.

It will be the responsibility of the service provider to segregate waste and report waste tipped and recycling figures for each waste stream back to HHT.

The contract will be an initial 3 years with 1 annual option to extend by a further 12 months, up to a maximum 4 years total contract term.

The contract is available to Halton Housing Trust and all subsidiaries both current and future.
