086-0123T Data Platform MVP Initial Phase One Requirement
AEC is looking to procure the services of a geospatial data engineering company to consult upon and create the initial version of a data extract-transform-load (ETL) system based upon the Feature Manipulation Engine (FME).
A function of AEC is to collect data from a wide variety of sensors, Farm Management Information Systems (FMIS) and other sources spread throughout a national network of associated farms.
This data is then used for research and development of agricultural technology, as a source of data for design, implementation, and testing.
The collection and storage are currently achieved manually and is subject to data loss, slow data collection and poor quality.
The intention of AEC is to automate this ETL process and then to expand upon the capabilities that provides.
