The brief

NICE wishes to commission a Specialist Mental Health Guideline Development Support Unit (SMHGDSU) to support its guidelines programme.

The SMHGDSU will act as a credible source of subject matter expertise in mental health guideline development across NICE.

The SMHGDSU will work with NICE to support committee decision making by producing evidence reviews, economic evaluations and other evidence-based products.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a high calibre external unit to contribute to the work of NICE and we are inviting tenders for this work.

The contract for this work will commence on the 1st April 2023.

The contract will be for an initial period of 3 years.

The agreement shall have an option to be extended for a further two 12 month periods, so that this contract may remain in force for a series of 1 year periods terminating on 31st March 2028.

The budget will be £335,634 per annum for the initial period of three years after which time the budget will be varied according to the work programme requirement.
