The brief

In accordance with best procurement practice, EU and UK Procurement Directives and Regulations and the Authority's service order, the Kent and Medway Towns Fire Authority is seeking to choose a Tenderer(s) by competitive tender for the provision of Psychological Wellbeing Services.

The contract will include ad hoc access to mental health professionals who would be able to provide bespoke psychological support to individuals on a case by case basis.

Provision should include a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), psychotherapy and counselling.

Additional support will also be required for specific front-line staff who may be required to deal regularly with traumatic incidents on an individual basis.

This support is primarily being put in place to support officers who will be responding to medical emergencies eg heart attacks as part of collaborative work with the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
