Border Force patrol vessel maintenance
Border Force (BF) is a Directorate of the Home Office.
BF operate a patrol fleet including five Cutters (of which four are Damen 4207 Class) and six smaller Coastal Patrol Vessels.
Contracts are anticipated over the coming year for maintenance, repair and life extension work, including annual Maintenance and Safety Equipment Recertification (MSER).
Vessel viewing opportunities are planned to provide potential bidders with the chance to view and gain a better understanding of the vessels and BF expectations.
The first of these will involve a Damen 4207 Cutter, in Plymouth on or around 13th April and Shoreham on or around 19th April.
Updated 5th April 2022: a Border Force Coastal Patrol Vessel (for service in waters up to 60 nautical miles from a safe haven) will also be available to view at Plymouth on or around 13th April.
Please state if you are interested in both boats when responding.
Any company wishing to attend on either of these days should contact Andrew Scott by email, andrew.scott1@homeoffice.gov.uk, no later than Friday 8th April, and copy in Ian McDermott, ian.mcdermott@homeoffice.gov.uk.
