1806/347/EML/IMG/17 Machining Dynamometer The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a Machining Dynamometer on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Integrated Manufacturing Group, Factory 2050, Europa Way, Sheffield.

Scope of Requirement: Supply of a system to enable measurement of a minimum of 3 components (Fx, Fy & Fz) of force during machining operations.

The system will be used for measuring the cutting forces created by a 6-axis serial arm robot modified to perform large scale machining tasks.

Due to the nature of the machining operations it is necessary for the force sensor to be able to withstand flood coolant.
