The brief

The service delivers essential capacity to ensure continuation of Community Services for MRI assessments that will support the delivery of good patient experience and outcomes.

This notice refers to a direct award of an interim contract to ensure continuity of essential health services to the local population whilst a new integrated care model is developed during 2018/19 ready for procurement in 2019/20.

The CCG has assessed that InHealth is the only capable providers at this time taking into account the short timescale and significantly challenging budget that they work within.

The interim service will support the CCG to review its commissioning intentions, in particular pathways and demand management approaches and align its work with the NWL strategies.

The new model of service to be established will ensure integrated pathways to deliver holistic patient care aligned with NWL strategies.

The current interim contract awarded is necessary to enable NHS Harrow CCG to develop and validate its specified service requirements.

The CCG plans to engage with the market during 2018 to assist development of its future specification of requirements, with the intention of informing the process to award a substantive contract to deliver the new model of care from 2019.

Market engagement will commence during 2018.
