244/EML/F/15 SCADA System The University of Sheffield invited tenders for supply on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's new Factory 2050 initiative at Catcliffe in Rotherham.

Scope of Requirement The supply, installation and commissioning of a shop floor data capture system on selected robotic cell, to aid manufacture and demonstrate big data gathering technology in AMRC Factory 2050.

This system is to be installed and used within the AMRC Factory 2050 building upon its completion at the end of 2015.

This system will be predominately used for demonstration and research.

The idea behind the installation is to provide an initial showpiece of what data gathering technology would be used in a modern factory, and to create a test-bed for research on the use of gathered data in innovative projects with the AMRC’s partners.
