Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS)
To provide non-emergency patient transport to patients attached to the SHIP 6 area who require patient transport (this will include Patients who are attached to these CCG's but are located in other hospitals in the UK and require repatriation back to their home area).
The contract will include both the call handling and the patient transport elements and be robust and accessible by a number of systems including online booking and telephone booking with the facility to implement and apply the contracts patient transport eligibility criteria.
This contract requires a diverse fleet of vehicles resourced to accommodate patients who require: • Car vehicles • Single man ambulance vehicles • 2 man crew ambulance vehicles • Wheelchair accessible vehicles • Stretcher vehicles • Bariatric and multi-people lift vehicles • Intermediate level of care vehicles including staff trained to IHCD and Paramedic level Duration: 3 years + 24months extension Area Covered: SHIP 6: South Eastern Hampshire CCG, Portsmouth CCG, Fareham & Gosport CCG, Southampton CCG, North Hampshire CCG, West Hampshire CCG, IOW CCG (nominal activity) Telephone calls received: 60,000 per annum Online Bookings received per year: 120,000 per annum Patient journeys per year: 320,000 per annum Potential contract value (per year): 10.1m per annum (50,500,000 total contract value inc. extension) Core Outpatient and renal dialysis Operational Time: 7 days a week: 06:30-23:00 Discharges and Transfers: 24/7 TUPE in effect: Yes Mobilisation period: 6-9 months - ITT document will confirm
