F/2652 - Infrared Frequency Comb - AWARD
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
The School of Chemistry at the University of Leeds is seeking tenders for a mid-infrared frequency comb laser system, spanning 3.0 to 3.5 um with an average output power of at least 100 mW and a repetition rate of 250 MHz.
A fibre laser system using difference frequency generation is envisaged as the most likely laser configuration.
The laser system will be coupled to an external optical cavity for vibrational absorption measurements of atmospherically relevant molecules.
It is expected that a single supplier will provide the system although the supplier may choose to integrate components sourced from more than one manufacturer.
