The contract award is made to Spirit Healthcare Limited for the provision of Diabetes Structured Education services across Hertfordshire and West Essex.

The new proposed contract will start on 1st February 2024 and will expire on 31st March 2025.

The contract was originally awarded via a competitive tender process and has been in place since 1st February 2019.

The total cumulative value of the service to end January 2024 is £634,410.19 (excluding VAT and excluding the value of the proposed new contract).

The value of this new contract is £108,579 (excl.

It offers support and understanding of their condition and effective ways to manage their own health, including exercise and healthy eating.

This is offered as a virtual session or a face to face session.

It is for small groups, so that the patients interact with the trainer and each other.

It is designed to help patients to feel less alone and isolated at a challenging time.
