The brief

LALS now invites responses from selected Framework Providers to deliver a programme of non-accredited learning which integrates life and work skills and is designed to support participants in taking the next step towards improving their employment or enterprise prospects.

The programme will target unemployed individuals, many of whom having not been involved in learning for a while, in need of activities that will gently reintroduce them to a learning environment, stimulate their desire to develop new skills and experiences and establish their future aims and objectives.

Overall, the key aim of the programme is to prepare participants from key target groups* for the world of work, helping them to become ?job ready? or at least better equipped to enter the labour market at the earliest possible opportunity.

It is therefore important that the programme be delivered in local settings, within communities and wards experiencing the highest levels of disadvantage and by organisations with a demonstrable track record of recent successes in similar delivery.
