The brief

West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (WECCG) and its system partners across West Essex is an Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) - referred to as the 'West Essex system' - have been working with BearingPoint (Prederi) to develop a business case for a transfer of care patient tracking IT solution, including system-wide health & care capacity and patient flow.

The business case was approved in October 2019 by the Local Delivery Board and it was agreed to procure a comprehensive IT solution to meet their system-wide patient flow and capacity management needs.

The IT solution needs to enable the effective and efficient transfer of care patient tracking and articulate system capacity and blockages to help deliver the best patient care.

This will support the West Essex system to visualise how these can be applied and support the system to inform its specification requirements ahead of any formal procurement process.
