Digital Inclusion Review
Invitation to Quote - Digital Inclusion Review BLMK Commissioning Collaborative consisting of NHS Bedfordshire CCG, NHS Luton CCG, NHS Milton Keynes CCG wish to commission a Digital Inclusion investigative review, targeting the current set up and infrastructure of hostel accommodation and residential settings including sheltered and supported living facilities.
Understanding digital inclusion and addressing inequalities is now a priority.
BLMK has identified the need for greater understanding of digital inclusion across the Integrated Care System (ICS) to inform the development of future innovative and transformational projects.
It is understood that the barriers to digital inclusion include access, skills, confidence, motivation, and awareness.
The sections of the population most likely to be digitally excluded are older people, people in lower income groups, people without a job or access to housing, people with disabilities, people with fewer educational qualifications and people whose first language is not English.
This review will identify what options there are currently for residents to access digital healthcare solutions if they do not have the capability to access this elsewhere on a personal device.
It will also provide intelligence on what could be possible in the future given the current set up onsite, and what is required to get them up to a level where access to digital healthcare can be provided.
The service is being procured on an invitation to quote basis with a maximum budget of £50,000 and the review report will need to be submitted to commissioners no later than 30th June 2021.
The deadline for bid submission is 5th March 2021 at 12:00hrs.
