The brief

Birmingham City Council Public Health is looking to commission an organisation to work in partnership with local community organisations working with vulnerable families to develop tailored engagement materials and resources.

Vulnerable families are characterized by risk factors including child's disability, parent's depression, a parent's history of childhood abuse and victimization, domestic violence, family substance abuse, poverty, social isolation and neighbourhood violence and/or unemployment.

The successful applicant will be required to: o Research and understand the key messages required for the target audiences o Work collaboratively and co-produce tailored and targeted materials and resources for this group to support COVID-19 messaging to help educate and raise awareness of how to stay safe during the pandemic.

Key messages could be: o What is coronavirus and why is it important to stay safe? o How to stay safe (Hands, Face, Space) o Isolation & Testing o The vaccine o Work closely with Public Health to define a targeted strategic approach for delivery and engagement e.g. focussing on areas with high infection rates o Create messaging/content/materials in a range of formats e.g. social media, text, video, graphics, animation, video that will be available and accessible for a wide range of different groups o Products to be shared with Birmingham City Council Public Health The contract will run from March 2021 until 30 June 2021.

The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
