The brief

2115/413/MY/DPG/18 Digital Operating Theatre: Infrastructure, Projection and Tracking System The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a Digital Operating Theatre: Infrastructure, Projection and Tracking System on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Design and Prototyping Group at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire.

Scope of Requirement The Digital Design Team at the Design and Prototyping Group at the AMRC are creating a complete Digital Operating Theatre environment incorporating as many technologies as possible to improve healthcare and operation outcomes.

The overall aim of the project is to develop and complete a digital twin concept for operating theatre environments including tracking and recording the position of all operating theatre assets and people physically in the room along with providing the clinicians with relevant information when it is required using screens, projection and augmented reality devices.
