The brief

The College is seeking to appoint a provider of specialist training services to deliver the Management Development Programme to employees of businesses and organisations operating in the Leeds City Region.

The Leeds City Region comprises the nine districts of Bradford, Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Harrogate, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield and York.

The aim of the training is to equip new and less experienced managers with a grounding in management and leadership theory and enhance their practical skills in managing people to deliver their team objectives more effectively, as well as contributing more fully to the wider organisation.

The specific target group for this training is line managers with responsibility for managing small teams of staff in a range of roles, particularly those that may manage young individuals and or Apprentices currently or in the future.

The College is seeking applications from experienced specialists who can demonstrate a track record of successful provision of leadership and management training to employers and employees.

We are looking for specialist providers of training who: o can demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering leadership and management training, particularly to SME businesses and organisations in the Leeds City Region o can demonstrate local knowledge and understands how to communicate with a variety of businesses and employees from a wide range of sectors o have good knowledge of Apprenticeships in order to be able to apply the training most appropriately to the target group, with the aim of enabling them to take on new Apprentices and/or to support Apprentices more successfully/effectively The successfully appointed specialist will be required to: o deliver the Management Development Programme to employees of business and organisations identified by employer engagement staff at Calderdale College o deliver the training at an appropriate time and place to suit businesses and employees ensuring maximum participation, which may include remote delivery to ensure flexibility o support the College in ensuring participants complete specified template programme documentation such as participation eligibility forms, Individual Learning Plans and feedback forms, and returning them to the College following completion of delivery o work with College project and quality staff to review and address employer and participant feedback, and any potential requirements to adapt or further develop the programme for specific employers All learning resources and materials must adhere to the Calderdale College and West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges branding and publicity guidelines.

Copies will be made available to the successfully appointed provider, and intellectual property rights remain with the College.
