Birmingham City Council is seeking for organisations for Secure Disposal of ICT Equipment The secure disposal services for the Councils IT equipment are an essential service which safeguards sensitive data by ensuring its secure destruction following government guidelines and regulations (e.g.
GDPR).
This service also allows for the refurbishment or recycling of waste IT equipment which supports the Council's environmental objectives.
The Council would like the following objective to be considered: - o To support digital inclusion, enable returned equipment to be repurposed and made available to Birmingham Council community schemes/charities with substantial reductions. o The supplier should be able to receive disposal requests via the supplier's own portal/system. o Assets will need to be collected from multiple sites across Birmingham These should be collected on a regular basis and sometimes at short notice if required. o All IT assets owned by BCC will be considered in scope for collection and disposal. o BCC must be notified when the collection has taken place & be provided with a Certificate of Collection & a Certificate of Disposal for each collection and/or item disposed of o Securely delete all Council data using an approved method (e.g.
Blancco Drive Eraser or equivalent) The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
