The NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group, Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group, West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group are issuing this invitation to tender in connection with the competitive procurement of Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services.
The scope of the service will include assessment of eligibility, call handling, booking and the provision of safe non-emergency patient transport to eligible patients.
The commissioners are looking to establish a contract for five (5) years with a potential extension of up to two (2) years.
The services which are the subject of this notice will be awarded under two contracts, one for the delivery of services within the Great Yarmouth and Waveney locality and one for Ipswich, east Suffolk and west Suffolk locality.
The aim of this procurement is to establish non-emergency patient transport services across the two localities of; locality 1 - Ipswich, east Suffolk and west Suffolk, and locality 2 - Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
The contract would cover journeys involving eligible patients; which could include journeys within, in to or out of these localities.
The tender exercise will result in two contracts being awarded; one for each locality.
Locality 1 which covers Ipswich, east Suffolk and west Suffolk will be commissioned by NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group,NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group, Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust and West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
Locality 2 which covers Great Yarmouth and Waveney will be commissioned by NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group.
