The brief

The London Borough of Camden ('the Council') is seeking to award a contract for the provision of refurbishment works to the Crowndale Centre, NW1 1BD.

The works are to be undertaken to allow for the decant of services from the Town Hall for the duration of the refurbishment works, with services being expected to return to the Town Hall in 2020/21.

The works to the Crowndale Centre are to provide refurbished temporary, but functional accommodation, which will enable the Council to provide a good quality service to its customers in accordance with its legal obligations.

The accommodation required for the Crowndale Centre includes the following:  Council chamber (the same size as existing with access for the public)  Foyer space for gatherings and functions  5 committee rooms (the same size as existing)  Accommodation for Members, including small group rooms  Leader's office  Support offices for Cabinet and Members  Mayor's Parlour  Registrar office (for births and deaths) including meeting rooms, reception area and back office  Ancillary items (please see Specification for further requirements) The contract will be for a period of 37 weeks commencing October 2017.
