The provider will be contracted and paid by Staffordshire County Council for the provision of the following: A Direct Payment Support Service which will fully support and guide the Individual through the DP set up, ongoing process and management once they have decided they want a DP.
Support will be available to individuals who use their DP to become an employer, and for those who purchase services to meet their care needs (via agencies for example), and for Service Users whom choose to source equipment that helps to deliver their outcomes.
The Service User may be eligible to receive additional services as described in the service specification, as determined by the Referring Agent and paid by the Referring Agent.
If the Service User is not eligible for additional services, they can choose to purchase additional services and pay for them themselves, and select a provider of their choosing, or use the provider awarded the contract for this service specification.
Additional services are a Managed Account and Individual Service Fund service and would be payable at the rates secured by the procurement exercise
