The brief

Egress Switch is a client that runs within Outlook to give the user the ability to send secure emails.

Egress Switch is currently used by wider DfT and is the only solution that is recommended by the National Cyber Security Centre.

The GSI computers have been removed, which were previously the only way for staff to send secure emails.

The Agency currently don't offer any secure email solution other than a few users who have given Egress web version.

Egress Switch will give all Agency staff the ability to send emails in a secure and consistent approach.
