Wigan Council - Review of King Street Masterplan, Interim Planning Guidance and Design Code
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits below the typical range for Engineering & Architecture contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 33,646 valued Engineering & Architecture tenders in our corpus.
Wigan Council is seeking to appoint a consultant to undertake a review of the King Street Masterplan and Interim Planning Guidance and to produce a new Design Code to inform future regeneration and development schemes in the area.
Phase 1 of the King Street proposals saw the preparation of a Masterplan and Interim Planning Guidance for this area within Wigan town centre.
This identified a number of potential sites for redevelopment via the Future High Street Fund (FHSF) programme.
In order to reflect the progress made and changes since the Masterplan was produced a further commission will review and update the Masterplan and develop a Design Code for the King Street area to reflect the current priorities and aspirations for King Street to support the delivery of a Phase 1 FHSF scheme, Heritage Action Zone and other sites for potential future regeneration or redevelopment.
The Consultant will be appointed via Direct Award.
