Wakefield Council is reshaping the current assessment process for assessing eligibility for a Blue Badge; moving away from requesting information from an applicant's GP and instead offering independent mobility assessments by a trained health professional.
This is in accordance with the Department of Transport guidance on best practice.
With this in mind, Wakefield Council invites detailed tenders for the provision of conducting mobility assessments in line with the Department of Transport Blue Badge Scheme guidelines via a framework agreement.
