The brief

The BFI is seeking a contractor with the appropriate knowledge and expertise to undertake comprehensive monitoring and evaluation for the BFI Venue Education Fund (Programme) during 2021-22 This is a newly funded programme of activity which will require the establishment of an evaluation framework which will enable us to track the impact of the programme as it develops during the first year and beyond.

The evaluation will need to assess how the programme has performed in year 1 and make recommendations for how we can improve the programme following its initial year of funding.

Specifically, an evaluation will consider the following: - Quality of delivery - Diversity targets (ethnic diversity, Gender, Disability, Socio-economic) - Progression to other film related training or work - Total Number of Beneficiaries - Value for money performance assured by National Audit Office principles for VFM: Economy, effectiveness, efficiency and impact.

There should also be a focus on identifying how Venue Education Fund activity can embed itself into the skills pipeline, as outlined in the BFI Future Film Skills strategy, as well as ensure joined up support for participants who have taken part in, or would like to take part in BFI Film Academy courses, and those who aspire to take up development opportunities through BFI Network, and through links to Into Film, BFI Film Audience Network and with the lead delivery partner of the Future Film Skills strategy.
