The brief

The London Borough of Brent (the Council) is inviting tenderers to bid in this competition for the award of the Advocacy Service.

Brent Council is also undertaking this procurement on behalf of the London Borough of Harrow for the commissioning of statutory advocacy services, including Care Act Advocacy, Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) and the Relevant Person's Paid Representative (RPPR).

Advocacy is available to Individuals who lack capacity, understanding of complex legislation and need support for their voice to be heard and their preferences to be known with regards to their care and medical treatments or where they live.

Each Council will hold an individual contract for the term of three years and a potential single 2 year extension (totalling 5 years if all extensions are invoked).
