Asset Information Management Systems 2 (AIMS 2)
No value published
HS2 publishes IT Services work continuously — 135 notices, roughly one every 12 days. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.
40% of HS2’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.
Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →
HS2 Ltd is seeking to procure an Asset Information Management System (referred to as AIMS 2), with the aim of the new service commencing in April 2025.
AIMS 2 will need to meet a defined group of capabilities required by the business over the short, medium and long-term programme.
The system will be of paramount importance for managing the life cycle of the physical railway assets, which will include, but not limited to ecology, land, civils (bridges, viaducts), stations and systems assets (track, signalling).
The technical solution must fulfil HS2's requirements which the business envisages will also include support, maintenance, training and implementation conducted by the Supplier as part of the service offering.
It is anticipated that the contract will be for an initial 8-year period with an option to extend by 2 further periods of 12 months, which is broadly in-line with the timescales required for HS2 to become an operational railway.
The purpose of this Contracts Finder Notice is to provide the market with advanced notice of HS2 Ltd's proposed procurement and to seek the market's feedback on the proposed high level requirements for this opportunity.
