The brief

Chelmsford City Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of new auditorium seating at Chelmsford Theatre, Duke Street, Chelmsford.

The project includes the provision of fixed and removable seating, wheelchair and companion seating positions, floor fixing systems, seat numbering, sponsor plaques, storage trolleys, spare parts, warranties and aftercare support.

The successful contractor will work collaboratively with Citizens Design Bureau (CDB) and the theatre team to develop and deliver a fully operational seating solution that enhances customer comfort and experience, maintains or improves seating capacity where possible, and complies with all relevant accessibility, fire safety and industry standards.
