Adult Social Care (ASC) practitioners, and our commissioned provider Camden Carers Centre both carry out carers assessment and reviews with carers, and provide support where necessary.
However, officers know that there are many more carers in Camden than are known to ASC and Camden Carers Centre, and additionally that many carers engage well with light touch digital support that is available out of hours.
Currently, the vast majority of support available through ASC and Camden Carers Centre is available face to face, and during office hours.
ASC and Camden Carers Centre also do not have capacity or ability to discover carers and support carers through digital tools.
Mobilise Care Ltd provide digital support to carers across the UK.
Support is provided by a team of people who have experience caring for others.
To date, ASC have run pilot with Mobilise Care Ltd (January 2020, £5,000) and two subsequent short term services to add capacity during Covid-19 lockdowns (June 2020, and December 2020, £15,000 and £7,500 respectively).
The December 2020 service was joint with Islington Council.
Mobilise Care Ltd as they are the only provider who are able to provide digital support to carers through a wide range of support tools and methods, with support and information available 24/7.
