GP Direct Access Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Service in Herts Valleys
NHS Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group (HVCCG) are seeking expressions of interest from suitable providers able to deliver a GP Direct Access Ultrasound Service for their patient population registered with a GP in Herts Valleys.
This service will not be for obstetric or MSK referrals as these areas have commissioned pathways.
HVCCG will be looking to procure a local, direct access non-obstetric ultrasound service with staff qualified to appropriate levels of skill and experience, using ultrasound equipment which complies with the guidance set by the Royal College of Radiologists, connection to NHS image transfer solutions, the ability to integrate with the Electronic Referrals system (e-RS), robust performance management systems and stringent levels of clinical governance.
The aim of the service will be to provide early diagnostics and diagnosis to avoid the need for unnecessary referral to secondary care and enable management in primary care.
The service will be available to all Service Users over the age of 18 registered with a Herts Valley GP.
The CCG is considering structuring the service provision into four 'lots', identified as below: • Dacorum locality • Hertsmere locality • St Albans and Harpenden locality • Watford and Three Rivers locality If your organisation is interested in this potential opportunity, may I please ask you to confirm by email to NELCSU.ProcurementNorthants@nhs.net clearly indicating which locality you would be interested in.
