Childrens Speach & Language Therapy Service
Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) is considering the feasibility of commissioning a provider to deliver children's speech and language therapy (SLT) interventions, in order to support its own Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service in reducing waiting times for children referred to the service.

Purpose of the Early engagement BCHC is submitting this notice as part of initial market engagement to ascertain the level of interest from suppliers for this type of service to assist with an informed decision.This is not an invitation to neither participate in a tender process nor provide any tender documents Please note all information provided is indicative and for information purposes only 2.
Service location The Trust undertaking market engagement to ascertain those suppliers who are able to deliver services locally across the city of Birmingham and in settings appropriate to the child's needs.

BCHC SLT service Interested suppliers must have sufficient appropriately skilled, experienced and HCPC registered children's SLT workforce available immediately, or have the ability to engage that workforce quickly.
All staff must have enhanced DBS clearance.
The service will be required Monday to Friday in normal working hours, for a period yet to be defined.
Service delivery will be to a caseload of children already referred to the BCHC SLT Service, who are currently on the waiting list, delivering packages of care that are agreed with the BCHC SLT Service.
Outcomes and discharge criteria will also need to be agreed.

Early engagement Process Interested suppliers need to , provide a brief outline of their organisation no more than 6000 characters in response to the requirements outlined above plus any examples/case studies where this type of service is already being delivered.
