The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 Sections 7 and 17 and The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 Section 3 require all Traffic Authorities to advertise two notices in the local press for each traffic order made, one prior to making the order and another after making the order.
This informs residents about any restrictions that are going to take place on the highway or rights of way routes, either temporary or permanent.
