Brief Description of Requirement As part of its core operations, the RCAT is developing a programme of briefings/workshops based on the known needs of academics working in research.
The briefings seek to deliver the outcomes of raising awareness of issues relating to collaborative research and research security, and facilitate the building of related communities of practice within the academic sector.
At present, success in terms of the ability to successfully identify, manage, and mitigate research security risks is predominantly defined by the actions of individuals, rendering insights from behavioural science pivotal in achieving real-world impact from the RCAT programme.
In order to ensure the effectiveness of RCAT briefings and minimise risks of them failing to meet unidentified need, the RCAT requires behavioural insights expertise to provide a robust behavioural framework, and related methodology and statistical proposal for the evaluation of this activity.
