This procurement is to commission a Direct Payment Support Service to be delivered from 17th May 2016 with an initial contract duration of 2 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years.
There are three key elements to the service to be delivered: Direct Payments Information, Advice and Support Service The Direct Payments Support Service will provide support to all service users moving onto Direct Payments to implement their support plan as well as offering longer term support as required for service users once they are established and are managing their Direct Payment.
The aim of the service will always be to support Direct Payments users to reach their optimum level of independence and competence in managing their Direct Payments.
Managed Bank Account Service The Service Provider will be expected to support the Council and service users where there is a requirement for the use of managed accounts.
The Service Provider must be able to offer a managed bank account service to individuals with a Direct Payment.
Payroll Service The Service Provider will maintain and operate a complete payroll service on behalf of service users who employ one or more Personal Assistants.
