Wakefield Council is seeking applications from suitably qualified organisations/companies experienced in managing and delivering personal care and wellbeing support services throughout a whole Extra Care Scheme for the new Frickley Mews Extra Care Scheme in South Elmsall, Pontefract.
The scheme is a purpose-built 67 apartment, dementia friendly unit which will be completed end October 2015.
The Contract will be awarded in August 2015, commence on 2nd November 2015 and run for a five-year period (with option to extend for further five-years), with the on-site Personal Care and Wellbeing Support Services expected to commence third week November 2015 following three weeks of on-site preparation (all dates subject to building completion/handover).
The Personal Care and Wellbeing Support Services will be on-site 24 hour a day, 7 days a week.
The dependency levels of those living in the scheme will be 65% high needs; 25% medium needs and 10% low needs.
8 of the 67 apartments will be utilised by the Council for reablement with reablement services being delivered by the Council’s in-house team with night-time cover and unplanned care and support provided by the on-site Service Provider.
The total hours to be delivered are up to a maximum of 966 per week.
This Tender will be undertaken through the Yorkshire and Humber Regional ‘YORtender’ portal, the electronic system which Wakefield Council utilises to manage its tenders and quotations.
