The brief

For this project, the supplier must be ready to provide resources with robust technical skills and key competencies paired with deep knowledge of the NHS across national, regional and system levels.

Outpatient Delivery Programme / Patient Choice There are two specific pieces of work which will be delivered by the same supplier.

Outpatient Delivery Programme The Elective Recovery Programme and National Outpatient Transformation Programme has included a focus on initiatives to reduce unnecessary outpatient activity, including through use of Patient Initiated Follow Up models.

To enhance this programme NHSE/I is commissioning a partner to provide subject matter expertise, capacity, and continued development of an alternative model to current outpatient delivery, Personalised Outpatient Programme (POP) which has the ambition to reduce outpatient follow up activity by a minimum of 25% by March 2023.

Patient Choice NHSE/I are developing at pace a national programme to support patients to receive care in a timely fashion, offering choice for care.

This is initially focused on reducing long waiters; in line with national commitments to treat all patients waiting above 52 weeks by March 2025.

The commission is for a programme of work to develop this key and challenging work.

We consider this will be up to a 3 month period.
