The brief

This project will evaluate the Children and Nature Programme, including the Nature Friendly Schools, Growing Care Farming and Community Forest and Woodland Outreach projects.

The evaluation will seek to assess: - Whether the aims of each of the three projects have been achieved - The extent to which the interventions were responsible for any impacts or changes - What works for whom, in what circumstances and why?

Each of the projects will be subject to a process evaluation.

For the Growing Care Farming and Community Forest and Woodland Outreach projects, the evaluation will focus on implementation.

For the Nature Friendly Schools project, in addition to a process evaluation, the ambition is to conduct a robust quantitative impact assessment of the outcomes for pupils and schools.

The evaluation will provide high quality evidence and learning to inform future policy and practice.

Findings for each of the three projects should be reported, as well as an overarching programme evaluation which synthesises learning across the three projects.
